Interested in high spatiotemporal resolution 3D imaging of pyruvate-lactate metabolism? Then check out our new paper in MRM: Using bSSFP with off-resonant RF?
We got (1.75 mm)3 resolution in 1.2 s per image with fully-sampled k-space.

Abdominal 3D dynamic pseudo-steady-state bSSFP magnitude images (in arbitrary signal units) of pyruvate and lactate after injection of HP [1-13 C]pyruvate in a PDAC tumor bearing mouse, acquired at t = 0 h (B, C) and t = 1 h (D, E). Slices 3 through 10 of 12 are shown. Tumor (T), bladder (B), left kidney (L), right kidney (R), blood vessel (V), and the lactate phantom (P) and indicated in the T2 w 1 H anatomical reference image (A). The shown frames correspond to the peak signal of the lactate time course for each image. At both times, strong lactate signal is present in the kidneys, with further signals in the tumor, gut and lactate phantom. Pyruvate is present in the tumor, kidneys, gut, and blood vessel, but not in the lactate phantom.
